The Auna Ideas Continuing Medical Education Center maintains the responsibility of assuring health professionals that activities meet accepted standards of education that help physicians increase their competence and incorporate new knowledge to improve the quality of medical care for patients and their communities. So if you are preparing to develop a learning activity such as a lecture or published materials, here are some important concepts and steps to consider.

What does CEMC Auna Ideas require in the development process?​

All continuing medical education activities must be designed to change one or more of the following:

  • Competence
  • Performance
  • Patient outcomes
  • Addressing the gap in the professional practice of physicians.
  • Use the needs assessment data to plan the activity.

Have content that:

  • Matches the current or potential scope of practice of the intended participants
  • Develops in the context of desirable medical attributes
  • Is taught using educational formats appropriate to the environment, the objectives and the desired results of the activity.
  • Comply with Auna Ideas policies for disclosure and commercial support.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the learning intervention in meeting the objectives.


The process of development of the continuing medical education programs complies with a standardized plan that has 4 phases, if you are ready to send your proposal use our web format and in a maximum of 2 weeks the CEMC Auna Ideas will accept or rethink your proposal.

If you need help from our team in the proposal preparation phase, use the meeting spaces of our office-hours with the team that will help you in the proposal preparation phase.

Conferences, Seminars and Webinars

6 -9 months in advance

Online Courses

6 months in advance

Regularly scheduled series (RSS)

6 months for initial certification.
3 months for annual certification renewal.
